Calendars App Reviews
Its not yosemite ready. All the transparency really messes with it. You cant see the calendar list, because its black on black. The bar showing the month name and arrows is transparent as well, and you click through. Id post on the "support" page, but its simply their facebook page, and theyre fairly unresponsive. I had Calendar Plus prior to them moving to the App Store, and Im not planning on buying it.
Calendar 1.8
It downloaded and installed, and that’s the last I saw of it. It is not working on my iMac.
Works well
Easy to use and can see everything I need to at a glance with a quick click. Works for me.
This is a fantastic app; however, it is not yet compatible with Yosemite. I rated it three stars because “its ok” and it does work, but the UI needs updating. Very close to a two-star rating though.
This application is great, but does not display properly in Yosemite. I would have hoped that it would have been updated by now, but here we are many months later, and it still has not been updated. Not only this free version, but the paid version Calendar Pro as well. Once this is fixed, I can give this app 5 stars.
This app is great. It allows quick access to your calendar and events without taking up the whole screen. It’s almost like having a mobile phone calendar app on a full desktop computer if that tells you anything. Integrates with my Gmail and Exchange calendars very nicely.
Something is wrong in the new version, there is this weird transparency going through the middle of the selection arrows for months which makes it difficult to use.
Not Compatible with Yosemite
Not Compatible with Yosemite, good otherwise.
This does exactly what I want it to do. The date is in the menu bar and can be expanded to a monthly calendar. It can also be used as an appointment book but that’s beyond my needs.
Easy, practical and useful
Does what it says… and and it does it well
I have no idea if this app is any good. I installed, it looked broken, tried to find support and just kept getting directed to a facebook page. Deleted.
This app sits in your menu bar out of the way. It is very colorful and can go many days into the future though I just look ahead 14 days. If you put your cursor onto any date, it will also look ahead from that point on which others do not. I purchased Quickcal for a couple dollars, and while nice too with the ability to put new events into your iCal right then and there from the app, you still have to go into iCal to label it as an appointment, birthday or whatever and use your color coding system for these events. Calendar only shows you what you already put into iCal, but again, it lets you see ahead for long periods of time. I use it instead of Quickcal now because of that reason and the aesthetic quality.
Good app
It’s a good app. However, I think, there’s lot more features that could have been added. But the good part is it is serving my purpose. Thanks
Excellently convenient - but does not work well under Yosemite - spinning cursor for no apparent reason, draws screen poorly. Qbix - did you stop developing this free version??? Oh well, it was nice for a while. The $9.99 version is full of features I don’t want. Why don’t you update the free version and charge a buck or two for it - that would be worth it.
Great
Works perfectly
This is the most convienent calendar for the Mac. I love it! So nice to be able to get to my calendar without having to open the app. Clean interface. Easy to manage and navigate. Love the keyboard navigation as well! Keep up the great work!
I love this app. It’s simple, clean, right there when I need it, and uncomplicated. I LOVE that I don’t have to open iCal as it gives me a little snippet of my appointments as well as the color codes from iCal. Furthermore, it does gives me access to iCal when I need it. Job well done!
I clicked on the calendar in the tool bar, while it showed the days in the month, there was no way to navigate. I could not add an event, could not navigate to different months. I was not at all happy with the privacy policy it should be called intrusion policy. Perhaps you need flash player for this app, which I do not have.
Seems like an ok app but I couldn’t figure out how to make the smaller version of the calendar, and you can’t read the toolbar buttons (next month, previous month, settings, the name of the month) because the area behind the text was clear instead of white, so it’s unreadable against my background. I assume that’s a Yosemite problem.
I was looking for another calendar app to use when I found this. Not exactly what I was looking for but downloaded it anyway. I like it a lot. A quick view of my calendar no matter what app I am using at the time. If I need to enter something, just click on the date and it takes you to Apples Calendar App. Mouse over the colored dots and it will show the calendar lable (work, personal ect.) and to the side will show only those events under that lable. It helps when you have several different events for the day and 2 or more are under one calendar. Helps to cut out the clutter. Move your mouse off the colored dot and all events for that day are shown.
