still requires iCal and a memory hog

This little free app is useful, but sadly still requires iCal to be launched regularly in order for entries entered on an iDevice (and/or via iCloud) to register. And its a memory hog: it easily reaches about 1Gb VM after a few days of uptime. I dont see why that would be necessary!

The User interface is in Russian !!!!

All is in the title.

Not compatible with Yosemite :-(

Doesn’t work with Yosemite. Pity as it looks a very useful app - the Apple calendar is a bit if a disaster and always has been

very functional

Just wish I could have a search tool within the app, just like in google calendar. Or at least, I could not find it

Two ’15’th days on february

On February 2014 my app shows saturdary 15th (the correct) and sunday 15th.

FEvereiro com dois dias 21.

The month of February is two days 21 . With this day of the week of the other months are wrong. How to fix this?

nice

if you want a pop up calender its pretty good, just the designs should be choose able

makes iCal bearable again

Like many Apple Apps, iCal has become very less useful since Lion was introduced. Calendar makes iCal more useful, great App!

really good app

too SHORT event list (cuts content) therefore 4 stars. Today on hover will be also nice.

good app

so dope. u can sync it with fb through ical

Nice little app. Good for the month-at-a-glance view

Sitting up in the menu bar, it is out of the way yet easily accessible. It takes all your data from iCal, so all the appointments and birthdays in iCal are shown in this app, even the colours (different calendars = different colours) are preserved. To add a new event, you double click and it opens up the iCal interface. I like the out-of-the way storage in the menu bar. Very nice. This is an app. for a quick glace at the month and your appointments, nothing more.

Nothing special

Really see no advantage over iCal sitting in my tray. Better yet, use the calendar widget on the Desktop for easy one-key access.

Nifty

This app is great if you want to know when an event is coming up. Im a college student who freaks out at the last minute about dates and deadlines and what not, so with this app, a quick glance and I know its there. Great if you dont have iCal running all the time. Adding events is intuitive.

Has potential but not there yet.

I like the look of this app but it could be improved in a few key ways: - give some preferences for it - have an option to always show the sidebar, not just pop out when Im over an event. - ability to tie into CalDAV or Google Calendar - clicking on a date to create an event without having to open iCal. When at least some of these features are available, Ill reconsider. In the meantime, even MenuCalendarClock does more of what I want.

Slows Down System A Lot, But Hides

Found my computer was slowing down a lot! So, did a check using miniusage app. Seems "kernel_task" was eating up all the resources. Popped the battery out and in, and found the kernel task was now called "Calendar". I uninstalled "Calendar" and all my problems are gone.

calendar

at first glance it appeared to be useful. however, when advancing the months it froze the computer to a point where i had to shut down to get my system running again. would be good if that didnt happen. any one got an idea?

Nice App that brings essential functionality to iCal/OS X

This app allows you to view your calendar month at a glance, and you can mouse-over a day to see all the days events (they are even color coded by calendar). I believe that functionality-wise, it satisfies most users needs, and its price is hard to beat (free). Nonetheless, I cant give it five stars ("its great") because of two very annoying items that need to be fixed: 1.- memory leak: this program must have a memory leak somewhere. To test it, open it as you log in, leave your computer on while you are logged-in for 2-3 days, and the memory consumption is above 200MB-250MB. Close it, open it again, and we are back to <60MB. Given that I dont have infinite amounts of RAM, this program actually made a problem in my workflow as it increased the swapping in my drive considerably. If you have a lot of RAM, and/or log out every day, you wont be affected by this, but still, the Developer should be made aware of this. 2.- as you are browsing months in the future, the app will randomly refresh the calendars and bring you back to the current month. This is annoying for instance if its March, and you want to look at events in July, because it keeps bringing you back to March. Ive use this program for quite a while, and have recommended it, but these two items were just too much for my patience, and I have since switched to Fantastical. Were they fixed, I honestly probably wouldnt have switched, as this app is otherwise great. As a final note, I was not able to leave feedback on their Support site as they require you to log-in with a Facebook account, and I dont have one (nor am I planning on having on). How can you properly support your users if you exclude non-Facebook users? This, combined with a memory leak that has lasted several versions, leaves me with a bad impression of the programming skills and seriousness of the offered support, which is really too bad as the product has a lot of potential.

UI Used to be passable

now there are really ugly buttons, messed up spacing, and poorly proportioned everything. aviod.

Awesome little app

Even better since they added support to choose what calendar accounts are displayed.
